The Meeting Place: A Church for All

For over 20 years, a small group has gathered in downtown Hamilton at The Meeting Place. They worship together in word and song, pray for each other and break bread. Some weeks only three or four individuals may come and sometime 20 or 30 are present. Everyone is welcome here.

Called to Action: A Story from the MCEC Annual Church Gathering 2025

On the morning of April 26, 2025, screens across Mennonite Church Eastern Canada lit up as over 150 participants—from 70 congregations—gathered online for the 38th Annual Church Gathering. While we were not together in the same room, a shared sense of purpose and faith filled the virtual space.

We are a church—a community of Christ-followers responding to a call. Responding to the voice of God. Responding to a call to participate in God’s reconciling ministry. This ministry of reconciliation is holy, holistic and humble.
